RoomLedger report signature legal value

What do RoomLedger signatures and reports mean legally?

A signature on a report shows that someone signed the content presented at that time. A report can help both parties review a checklist, photos, notes, meters and condition. An in-app signature does not automatically have the same legal effect in every country, contract or dispute.

Before signing

Open the report and check property name, date, rooms, photos, descriptions and unchecked items. If you disagree, record a clarification or the other party’s comment rather than signing a record you have not read. Make sure each signer understands what they are confirming.

After signing and when correcting errors

Export PDF for reading and ZIP for the related file set. Name files by date, keep the original and do not silently edit it. If an update is needed, create a new export with date and reason and keep the earlier version. A fingerprint or consistent filename helps distinguish versions but does not prove content or authority. See RoomLedger.

Ask the recipient whether PDF, original photos, CSV or another format is required. If a deposit, contract or claim is involved, follow local procedure and seek legal advice. Do not send several unlabelled versions that make the final record unclear.

Note: Signatures and reports do not replace a contract, local rules or legal advice.
