How to Recheck a Suspicious RoomLedger Measurement
When a measurement looks far from expectation, do not edit it to make it seem reasonable. The cause may be a wrong unit, start point, obstacle, unsupported device or incomplete room recognition. RoomLedger stores measurements and photos; the review should separate a data error from a method limitation.
Signs to investigate
Look again when two readings of the same edge differ greatly, the area does not fit the dimensions, the unit is missing, the line crosses an obstacle or the room model lacks a corner. Reflections, glass, dark walls and weak light can also reduce stability. Record the sign instead of ignoring it.
Recheck the measurement
Clear the area, use even light, hold the device steadily and measure from marked endpoints. Record unit, method and context photo. If possible, check one edge with a tape or laser. If the difference remains large, use an independent method or ask a qualified person. See RoomLedger, and keep the RoomLedger measurement notes with the result.
Decide whether it is usable
A reading may be enough for layout reference but not for ordering materials or construction. State its permitted use in the note and export. Do not delete the old result; mark it checked and save the new date. If endpoints or tracking cannot be established, mark it unusable rather than guessing.
Note: Do not use an unverified measurement for technical or legal requirements.
