Recording wall paint and ceiling condition with RoomLedger
Small wall and ceiling marks are easy to forget after furniture moves in. Record visible color and condition with a context photo, close-up, location and date. RoomLedger can connect rooms, photos, notes, checklists and reports, but it does not diagnose a crack or dampness.
Map the surface
Walk around the room in a consistent direction. Use the door, window or another fixed point to name the wall; for a ceiling mark, record the nearest corner or fixture. Take a wide photo, then close-ups of peeling paint, holes, scratches, stains, cracks or discoloration. Do not edit color away.
Record the observation limits
Note the date, lighting, dry or damp condition and any covered area. If a corner behind furniture or a high section was not visible, mark it unverified. Describe what you saw instead of diagnosing a leak or structural fault.
Create a follow-up trail
Link the photos to a repair request, person notified and reinspection date. Keep earlier images, export the report and open the ZIP or PDF after export. Explore RoomLedger.
Note: Dampness, cracks or hazards should be reported and assessed through the appropriate process.
