How to Use a ZIP Export to Back Up RoomLedger Records

A ZIP may contain property reports, inventory, photos and related data. A successful export is not enough: confirm where it is stored, which version it represents, whether it opens and who can access it. Name it with property, scope, date and version.

Extract it into a temporary folder and open the PDF, CSV and sample photos from several rooms. Check captions, signatures, record counts and links between images and items. Keep the original until the new copy works. Store at least one copy away from the main device, restrict access and record review date.
