How to review a property record after one year
Move-in records are often needed months later, when a repair, move-out or insurance question appears. An annual review can find open issues, stale permissions, untested backups and inventory that has changed. RoomLedger keeps the timeline organized; you decide what to update or retain.
Review rooms and inventory
Open each room and check the baseline photos, notes, measurements and supplied items. Mark rooms not revisited and items no longer present. Keep old photos as dated evidence; add new photos instead of rewriting the original condition.
Close or update repairs
Filter open issues and review messages, dates, actions and after-repair photos. If something is only partly fixed, record what remains. Connect receipts or correspondence where appropriate. See RoomLedger.
Test exports and backups
Open the latest PDF, CSV and ZIP, check dates and room names, and test restore when your workflow requires it. A link that once worked is not necessarily a current backup. Create a new version before deleting local data.
Review privacy and next actions
Check who still has access and which package contains addresses, signatures, serials or private photos. Revoke unnecessary access and set expiry. Create a short action list with owner and date for missing measurements, photos or repairs.
Note: An annual record review is not a property inspection and does not guarantee legal or insurance sufficiency.
