Why Record a Property Room by Room?

A property can have many photos that are still hard to use if nobody knows where each image belongs. Room-by-room records create a map for finding damage, equipment, measurements and repair history. They also let someone absent at inspection read the file without guessing. RoomLedger uses property and room structure to turn loose photos into contextual evidence.

Use a room as the comparison unit

Move-in and move-out normally follow spaces. Each room has its own surfaces, doors, lighting and equipment. Put a close-up under the correct room so the same location can be checked later. A minimum room record has a name, wide photo, attention list, inventory, date and person.

Combine layers without overclaiming

Photos show a surface, measurements show a value under particular conditions, inventory identifies property and a timeline shows change. None replaces the others. A photo does not prove exact area and a number does not show where a crack is. Record method and limits so readers do not interpret the evidence beyond its scope.

In RoomLedger, create property and rooms, then add photos, captions, inventory and measurements. Start with RoomLedger. Check room names in PDF, room and ID columns in CSV, and random images in ZIP. Protect addresses, signatures and valuable-property details; keep a tested backup.

Note: RoomLedger is not an inspection, valuation or legal-advice service.
