Kitchen Appliance Inspection Checklist for a Move-In Report

Kitchen appliances have many parts, model numbers and signs of wear. Record what you actually observed or tested; one successful test is not a promise that an appliance will work forever. RoomLedger keeps inventory, photos, notes, checklists and signatures together.

Work by location

Move through refrigerator, cooker, oven, hood, dishwasher, microwave, tap, sink and cabinets. Record brand, model, serial when appropriate, location and included accessories. Use a wide photo for context and close-ups for labels, cracks, scratches or missing parts.

Only test basic functions when permitted and safe: lights, unusual sounds, heat, water or locks. Do not dismantle equipment or touch gas and exposed wiring. Use statuses such as working when checked, not checked, needs repair or could not verify. Review the inventory and export before signing, and use the formal handover process for repair requests. Note: The app does not diagnose appliances or manage electrical, gas or water hazards.
